Well not really, but I did go and visit a nearby island.
It was so beautiful.
Unspoilt nature at its best.
The island itself is fairly small. Well not so small but not large either. I’ve never been there before and I gotta tell you, after seeing the sights and driving around, I just knew I would have to come back and visit it next time I’m back in the country.
I really enjoyed it. The whole feel of it just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
It was quite quaint and picturesque. Along the shore, upon on of the cliffs, there’s a giant face painted on the rocks. And in the centre of the place there’s a painted rock that looks like a crocodile.
The whole place is too cute for words.
There’s quite a bit you can do there. Ride around the island, kayak. Both are available to hire. I think there’s a kayak store too where you can hire one out, I’m not too sure. There’s also holiday apartments available to rent overlooking some really stung views. The beach aint too bad either.
I wish the weather was better and I could have spent a lot more time there. It was absolutely freezing today. It is January in Scotland after all.
Again, no pics, I wish I could have taken a few. Next time.
Oh yeah, if you’re wondering where this place is, it’s called Milport, on the Isle of Cumbrae 🙂
