“Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” – Susan Jeffers

Wise words from someone I have never heard of before.

Fear has stopped me from doing a lot of things. I’m scared of doing anything. I’m the kind of person who says no to almost anything, but recently I decided to “feel the fear and do it anyway”. After years of me saying I’m going to leave this place or I that I should, I finally took the step and just went for it.

The months leading up to this major decision had been very tumultuous to say the least. I have never been so scared, worried and nervous in my life about doing something so crazy.

(Who just decides to up and leave just like that?!)

So I chose to call this next stage of my life “Adventures Of A Drifter” because that’s how I initially thought my life would ultimately turn out to be. In the beginning before I had any solid plans, I had no idea what I was going to do or where I was going to end up, hence the drifter part of the title. I imagined that once I left home I was going to be just that – a drifter – floating from place to place trying to find my purpose in this life.

I guess it’s a good thing that a few years ago I did some serious soul searching a few years ago and started to discover who (and what) I really am. I’m still trying to figure out things. Hopefully one day I’ll get the answers to some of my questions.

“I’m just a girl on a mission, making love to my vision” (I really like that quote) and this is my story.
